PAUL T. KENNEDY works with all things luminous; exploring light, shadow, and the environments in which they exist in.
Paul currently lives in Brooklyn, NY where he has designed the lighting for multiple Off-Off-Broadway theatrical productions and has served as the lighting programmer for over 20 Off-Broadway productions.
Paul studied theatrical lighting design at The University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS. His collegiate designs won multiple awards at the Southeastern Theatre Conference, as well as the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival; in 2012 he placed third in the national competition for excellence in lighting design in Washington, D.C. and was invited to attend Jules Fisher’s Broadway Lighting Master Classes in New York City. During his tenure at The University of Mississippi Paul served as a co-founder for the student-run theatre company, Ghostlight Repertory Theatre, completed internships with the LDInstitute at the Live Design International trade show in Orlando, FL and Las Vegas, NV, and an internship with Enttec in Durham, NC.
